How Glenda Handled Steve's Home Sale and More
"Glenda's been one of our neighbors and I'd seen she'd been very active in the community and she'd been active in the real estate business and had her own business and seemed to be doing well. So when it came time to sell our home we approached Glenda. We were on the high end of the value of the home and that played a pretty major role in our ability to relocate. So we shared with her, this is the figure we're looking for is this something that seems reasonable? And is that something you'd be willing to take on? And it was affirmative to both questions and that's how we came about hiring Glenda to sell our home. At the end when the home was sold and we were, we had to leave, we had to move to Coeur d'Alene idaho, Idaho, and in the course of doing that we really had to get on the road. And the closing took longer than we had anticipated as they always do. Stephanie, who works with Glenda, said, you know I can deposit that check for you, so we asked her to do that. unfortunately our bank had some issues with the deposit of the check because our home was in a trust. We have a trust that has all of our assets in it. So it turned out to be a very circuitous route, Glenda didn't have a safe, didn't quite know what to do with the check. She looked into how was best to store this check until we could figure out how to proceed, not only did she do that, she assisted us in getting to the bottom of how to cash that check and get funds transferred to our bank in Idaho. She's straight-forward, not pushy, if you ask for advice she gives it. When she feels that it's warranted she has a very diplomatic way of bringing it forth. I'd definitely recommend her, she did a good job for us and I'm certain that she'd do a good job for anyone."
Glenda Williamson How Glenda Helped William Buy a Home in Decatur from Honolulu
"This is a return visit to Decatur, Illinois for us, we had originally bought a house here in 2006 so fast forward to 2017. We were living in Honolulu and because of some family issues it became obvious to us that we need to get back to Illinois. We were looking on Realtor.com and we had seen a 2 bedroom condo that looked kind of interesting, so we mentioned it to my in-laws and they belong to the same country club that Glenda does. They just happened to be talking to her at brunch one Sunday...and it turns out that Glenda lives in that particular building. She said that she would be glad to show them the condo and one thing led to another and she's just been great. The house that we ended up buying was actually the second house that we put a contract on. With the first house, when the home inspector went in he found some discrepancies that had not been visible to the naked eye. When he told us about them, it was a deal breaker. The listing agent for the property as well as the people selling did not want to give us the deposit money back after we had declined to go ahead with the sale. By Illinois statute after 5 days we were due a refund no questions asked. Finally, ended up with Glenda making a couple phone calls because we just weren't getting anywhere. in fact by that point in time we'd also hired an attorney at Glenda's recommendation. By the next day I got a call from our agent indicating we'd be getting our money back. I thought the lawyer had pulled some strings, I called him, he said I had nothing to do with it. He said I don't know how that happened. I come to find out that Glenda had made some phone calls and through some gentle persuasion had convinced the homeowners that they needed to return the money. That was purely Glenda's doing. It was quite a bit of a deposit that we had put down so we were very appreciative that she was able to manipulate that for us. She's very professional, very reliable, you can count on her, she will work hard for you. She'll do whatever it takes to get you into a new home. And I'm sure it's the other way around too, that if you're selling a home they'd do whatever it takes to get you out of the home as well. Like I said, she was very professional, she gets the job done. She'll fight the duel for her clients, so I really appreciated that."
How Glenda Williamson Realty Sold Mike’s Home
“Very happy with the results. I’ve had my home on the market going on three years now. I had it originally with a different real estate group, a few different agents inside of that group. Glenda had it on, within a month actually I just had it listed with her for a month, not only did the amount of walkthroughs just spike compared to what the other real estate group got me, I had an offer within the first couple weeks which was awesome! I hadn’t had a legitimate offer in the two plus years prior. Totally blown away, within a month of switching to her, home’s closing in the first part of December. She’s been awesome to work with as far as the way the office is set up. I certainly enjoy that she’s got different people that have their own specialty versus a jack of all trades. So if I have a contract or have a question on something, it’s not her or an agent trying to guess through, the sellers have their expertise on that. That parts been great, and then just in general I’ve been really impressed, especially compared to the last group. I had been constantly bugging them trying to get any kind of information from anyone that walked through as to hey, why didn’t you make an offer. What is it about the house, how do I improve it, and it was like pulling teeth. Glenda set up, without even asking, I start getting emails with questions set up, I get the agents that reply to it and then it kind of tabulates everything where after a couple of people have walked trough I kind of get to see the ballpark of alright here’s where everyone that walked through thinks your home is priced, the condition it’s in. Without even having to ask those things are already part of the process. I’ve just been totally impressed overall.”
